Bad Space

Awry in ire..
Prancing with seething desire..
The vessel crimson coated..
On the labyrinth it floated..

Stop not..
When the waves supercilious bestow their wrath..
Stop not..
When the winds hefty jeer at your path..

Behold.
Contemplate.
Believe.
Rewind!

An expression of exaggeration..
A gasp of exemption!

You are the captain
Yours is the vessel
You are the harbour!

Steer ahead.
Bump into life..
Explore..
Stop. Breathe.
But steer ahead again.

You own the baton..
Yours is the journey..
You adorn the pinafore of pace..
Aye Captain!
Still in bad space?

INCH!

Who are you?
A leopard darting with a streak of supremacy
Or an ant vying for the inch?
No, the one you believe in!

Why is it significant?
A sleep that doesn't let you dream
Or a dream that doesn't let you sleep?
No, for  the desire that you stitch!

How is the journey?
A merry ride
Or an avalanche of pitfalls?
No, how strong you are!

When do you reach?
An inch close
Or an inch far?
No, when even the heart juggles your rhythm!

What is an inch?
Only a twelfth of the foot
Or a stride glancing with an impeccable enormity?
No, a frame of mind!

Only When!

Only when the rivers roar..
Only when the precipice reaches its edge..
Only when the sky travels till the horizon..
Only when the tree spreads its roots..
They realize their worth!

Only when you are not afraid to fall..
Only when you  jump against gravity..
Only when you perspire and not give up..
Only when you vent your all..
You realize your dream!

Freeze It!

The earthly vehemence silently weeps..
Urging to quell the detachment..
They say..with Time it heals,
I whine.. If so placid and powerful, why not stand still?

Gravels of desolation dense
Defy the ripples of solace..
Get washed away with the drifts of Time!
Seize it! But Alas!

Injured by its own boundaries,
Time, so placid  and powerful, yet does not stand still..
Whimpers at  its timidity..
Just ticks away
And concedes to the uninvited Goodbyes!

A Self-ie-City

Every individual is reluctant to change. But I wonder how The Power drives it to a completely opposite route. How much we ever try to refrain from it, we are yanked off to the same lane. Emotions exemplify one of the attributes that define the timidity of mere human beings. Goodbyes may be difficult. But we still meet new people, get attached and bid a heavy hearted adieu. If the locus of subsequent events had to end up at the same instance, why would we ever start off ?  And it is now that you think of yourselves to be His puppets. But I opine that your emotional quotient drives you off on the wrong route, in vain. You are strong when you know that you always have a leverage over few keys. It resides deep within. It stays invisible. But always alert. Our soul. The inner voice. Our sole source of trust and happiness. And when the soul seeps through such a tunnel of secrets, then it is known as realisation. On a rhetoric note, it is self realisation, believed to be the most powerful source of learning.

It was like any other usual day when I returned back to my room after an overloaded day at office. "The housekeepers did the work well." Yes, the room looked tidy and I mocked a joke at myself. Keeping the smirk aside, I rushed to complete the chores to catch up with my daily routine. I took off my business formal heels and slipped my feet into my favourite sports shoes. And I experienced a sudden gush of delightfulness and pride. I felt at the top of my world. Not because I am proficient in a field, but because I am uniquely myself, a self content beautiful individual. I am going to be there with myself forever.

Call it a keen observation or a frivolous pass of a second. But I can wager upon this that the feeling of happiness is going to stick to me throughout  my life. Let alone the splendid sense of content speak that. A reason that would keep me reminding of my potential. And mould me into a better individual. An individual engulfed with self love and admiration. One who would never let the affection for self fade away. One who would not gauge self with the tumultuousness of a schedule or the bitterness of a mayhem.

Find time for yourself. Give your precious hours to your hobbies. Dream. Love yourself. To no limits. Within no boundaries.
Always remember, You are the one and only confident pilot who can land yourself safely even in the most crucial of all emergency situations. You are a concrete wall for yourself to stand against.

Stay confident! Live fit! Keep smiling!
After all why should we punish ourselves for no wrong?

Forever In The Last

Couple of days scattered
Imitating the falling leaves of autumn..
A decaying yellow gnawing at the serenity of peace..
And Oh! It is one down again at the midnight tick.
Oodles of sentiments vying with the gush of the hot spring,
To-do-list racing with the ever swift countdown clock..
The lanes which morphed anonymity into an existential identity,
Treading along which each step ahead has a story to narrate..
A story delicate, beautiful and memorable.
Capturing the picture perfect essence of the panorama in irises moist..
Rewinding the nurtured flashbacks in pace quadrupled,
I count my millionth effort to relive the forever in the last!

Jollity Is Wherever You Feel.

Beautiful stereotyped mornings had become my daily routine until today happened. Today was not just another cog in the wheel. To find pleasures in the smallest of small things that you do is sheer aristocracy in one's own way. You must be thinking to yourself now. What  revelled me to this extent? I will be glad to end your curiosity.

For three months and twenty one days, I have been in Kolkata. And I stand with undisputed awe at the amicability and alacrity of this city. There is a magic in its air which I preferably call "The Kolkata's sacrosanct Essence". It is not just about the big buildings of antiquity but also the Sun, streets and residents. And tea in an earthen pot :)
Fascinating..isn't it? Yes, I had tea at a roadside stall and in an earthen pot with the two most trusted persons of my life, Maa and Papa. And believe me it was absolute contentment. Until now, I did not have a clue how a kulhad chai( that is what they call it) tastes. But now I know.

The rush at the tea stall early morning when the clock ticks seven itself reveals the charm of the city. Gleaming yellow taxis, the hustle and bustle of traffic.. the city wakes early. Morning walkers, pet lovers, or a group of octogenarians iterating the laughter exercise. All this makes me think..people of this city are aware. Papa parked the car. And we took our chairs and settled. I was the happiest in the group! It knew no bounds. A very social group of about fifteen sat next to us in a circle. Lucky souls again. They have a big circle in this grim world. The chirrups of the morning birds faded by the resonance of the political opinions of people around. Early morning, a cuppa tea, mates and a healthy discussion. What else is a blissful life? Some ten steps away, I saw the atmosphere was not the same. A couple placating each other. But that is the oddity of life. You know the taste of pleasure only when you have overcome pain. Period.

I was sitting with myself when one of the fifteen very enthusiastically asked. So where do you live? Maybe because he found us to be there for the very first time. "Chotu"..Someone jeered. "Jaldi jaldi saheb ko chai de aa". And his little feet rushed. His fingers were scorched, but he was paid a few bucks for it. And he was happily doing it. The large group greeted him with love and affection. And even he enjoyed being cuddled. Who doesn't? When again he was called back by his master. Every little thing is momentary. Times change.

"Madam". I sensed the sound waves coming in my direction. Here he was. Chotu with my earthen cup. I received it  with a smile. A smile engulfed with good wishes for him and his family. Only if he sensed. The aroma of a tinge of ginger lingered in air and traveled my thoughts. Refreshing! And I took the maiden sip in an earthen pot to taste the jollity of life.
