Bruises

I wonder,
How silence emerges mightier than the storm
And waves surrender to the shores' arms.

I wonder,
Why a mountain's ruggedness is lost to the traveler's footsteps
And a strike of lightning carries away the clouds' darkness.

I wonder,
Where do all the woes disappear after a victory
And fears run away once set free.

I wonder,
What makes grit defeat bad history
And the earth to carry on after every catastrophe.

I wonder,
When even the moon's blemishes fade away every fortnight
How do those bruises still breathe while you fight?

Hold On!

I picked up a balloon
And painted it with my favorite color.
I fixed my heart on it
And on it nurtured my seeds of desire.
I tied my energy to it
And its string helped me soar higher.

I met a number of colors on way
And a high five to them I waved
Till I encountered the shade of grey
Which smeared the beauty of my colorful palette.

Holy grey! Did you see that?
My balloon just got stained.
Nonetheless I will hold on
And pick up another resistant shade
For the next balloon I paint would be iron willed.

Imperfect Two!

Drowned in the vastness of ruby,
Along with the fragrance and rays sunny,
The velvet of the sea unruly,
Played a jingle for the dew's coronation ceremony.
Awed by the perfection, claimed the dew;
Hey Rose! We ought to be the perfect two!

Indifferent to the trumpets of its beauty blown ,
And to humility, the rose gently bowed,
"Don't the dreamers wish to see the stars drop?"
"Don't the mountaineers search for undulations to climb up?"
"Don't the farmers yearn for the cloud's thunder?"
"Don't we admire the sea lose its rhythm to the ripples under?"
"Don't the painters color the craters on the moon?"
"Don't the believers betray the wind's swoon?"
"Don't we pray for the sun to set?"
"Don't we ask for time to wait?"

The Rose stared at its thorns and confessed,
"We are nothing but mere mortals;
Frantically searching for perfection,
While we cling to the most perfect imperfections"

Courtesy to the words of wisdom,
That the dew now admired its beauty droop,
And succumbed to the temporariness of the Imperfect Two!

FOREVER

A one, a two , a three;
Do you know me?
Click! Captured in a frame; an infant's glee!

A one, a two , a three;
Let us play hide and seek.
Click! Captured in a frame; emotions peeked!

A one, a two , a three;
You care to pose?
Click! Captured in a frame; a friend's therapeutic dose!

A one, a two , a three;
Flash your teeth.
Click! Captured in a frame; happiness unseen!

A one, a two , a three;
You like me?
Click! Captured in a frame; nascence of love supreme!

A one, a two , a three;
Together we make memories.
Click! Captured in a frame; parents' proud eyes!

A one, a two , a three;
Click! Live! Click! Live!
An unadulterated four walled frame,
In which I dwell.

The worldly rules sing, "Nothing lasts forever";
Well, I keenly stand out.
Tell the world;
I capture time
And keep FOREVER safe in my box!

Hello Corporate!

Of how much I learnt,
In ten months and four more,
The story of Corporate
In ten lines but whole!

Prim and proper White
With ties decked up in the fight,
The hoppers run in a circle of five
Scheduling quick meetings and deadlines.
Divided by Geography,
United by Monday blues!
Divided by demand,
United by Thank God It's Friday tunes!
The collar buttons never heave a sigh
Unless the clock bids Friday a Goodbye!

Let Her Fly!

The eyes unfolded
To a world unknown,
The poise it beheld
Amazed galore.

Fumes of despondency,
"Who will take the legacy forward?"
Alleys roared in silence,
Subsiding murmurs of scarce joy.

Clinched in Pink knots;
Aghast the hands wandered.
With a whimper,
Pink implored,
"Let me fly! Let me fly!"

Oblivious the feet,
Kept running;
And tripping.
But never stopped
To the Pinkish orthodox whims.

Frail, but nimble;
It danced to its drumbeats,
Against barriers;
Higher than the brink of Pink.

The arduous Pink fiercely soared high;
Plucking the inhibitions stark;
Seeded in their minds,
In unison;
I applauded,
You cried and we yelled;
"Let Her fly! Let Her fly!"

Aren't You Happy?

When birds up in the vastness of blue,
sing the notes of octaves oblivious to you;
When the sun shining high above,
draws a blanket of its sunshine trove;
When the mists on the green grass,
embrace the feet treading across;
When the splashes of first monsoon rain,
awash the dreariness of a worked up brain;
When the sight of a beautiful smile,
helps you walk an extra mile;
When the caress of hands pure,
makes you forget the nasty rebukes of life sour;
When the practice of a long forgotten passion,
reinstates your cheekbones into motion;
When the fire of a dream to fly,
doesn't let the desire to dry;
Oh you beautiful species,
Wandering in three dimensions,
Looking for the impeccable melody,
Stop! Find yourself instead,
Amidst the deluge;
And then interrogate!
Aren't you happy?
