Bruises

I wonder,
How silence emerges mightier than the storm
And waves surrender to the shores' arms.

I wonder,
Why a mountain's ruggedness is lost to the traveler's footsteps
And a strike of lightning carries away the clouds' darkness.

I wonder,
Where do all the woes disappear after a victory
And fears run away once set free.

I wonder,
What makes grit defeat bad history
And the earth to carry on after every catastrophe.

I wonder,
When even the moon's blemishes fade away every fortnight
How do those bruises still breathe while you fight?
